Roberto, the duck

On this summer I travelled around the south of Chile. My first station was Valdivia and the crossing to arrive to there was awful. I was waiting with my friends Pedro and Pablo in the Chillán's bus station a bus that traveled from Talca to Puerto Montt (one stop was in Valdivia of course). We were there 4-5 hours more or less because the bus was late and, maybe you know, Chillán is so f*** hot in summer, so was horrible. The way was worse, supposedly we were arriving at 9 PM, but because there were to many stops and because of the traffic we arrived at 12 PM. I don't know what crossing was the worst, our crossing or the crossing of my friend Agustín, who was waiting for us in Valdivia 5 hours. When we arrived, we had to look a place to camping (at 12 PM!!), for good luck we found a place not to far (but very expensive tot). The next day, we woke up in the camping, because of a weird sound, when I opened the tent the first that I see was a duck! After that, I took this photo and I started to make the breakfast. When I finished I went to the bathroom and when I came back my breakfast was in the floor! Yes, was Roberto, the duck. Well, after that I said: "Whatever, nothing can't be worst", and then we really start our trip. I like this photo, not just because of Roberto, I like it because was the beginning of a fantastic trip that finished in Coyhaique.

My bucket list

Hi everyone, I hope you're all healthy. In my opinion, is very hard to try thinking a list of materials objects or future goals that I want to complete. Currently, the first that come to my mind is to survive to the epidemic, for me and for all my people. I think we all know that is an extreme position, but because of how is managed the state of catastrophe by the current administration is a very reasonable position. After this traumatic situation, the first that I want to do is take my bike and ride to Plaza Dignidad with my panas, here we going to protest against the government, against the police (ACAB), against Piñera ( renuncia paoql ). Because of all the time that passed, the most probably second thing that I would do is to get drunk with my panas.  In the moment, there is not any other activity in my mind, so I hadn't done any of them. Well, maybe I got drunk with my brother and sister, but isn't the same. I know this is not a very positive post, that is because I...

The Semester Online

Dear all, I hope you are well. In the last post of this semester I'll talk about the good, the bad and the ugly things. To start with a little smile there are some fact that are great, like the semester is almost finished. Well, I can't think more good things so I'll pass to the bad things. About this section the list is pretty longer, but I wouldn't want to extend the post too much so I´ll just tell three. The first that come to my mind are the problems that I have with my computer, for example: the connection to internet is unstable because everyday four persons must be in online classes or working, another one is that my microphone is broken so I can't talk if I have a question, the unique option is use the computer of my siblings if they aren't in classes. The second bad thing is the constant headache because of the screens, and the worst is that I can't stop to use it. The last bad thing is that geography can't go to fieldwork, something that is ver...

IDE

Hello everyone! Today I wanna give you a very useful website to get different layers of territorial information from Chile. The website called IDE ( http://www.ide.cl/ ) have a broad range of database to develop your own cartography. Each time I need a spatialization of a place to research a phenomenon arround it I search IDE in Google, and that is all. In the last time, I visited this website more often than anytime. What I like of IDE's website is its easy access and how you can use it. Normally, I used to use the IDE geoportal: "Visor de Mapas", but if isn't working very well my internet, I prefer to download the territorial information that I need. This is very easy because the page is organized in different categories of layers like limits and borders, flora & fauna, society, economy or climate and atmosphere, to say some of a large list that you have to visit.
